classes run as an open workshop
and we teach when it is convenient for
you.
Special weekend workshops can be
scheduled for a great event with family and friends.*

registration to hold your place in class. Class sizes are
limited.

Stained Glass Window and
Specialty Classes
Beginning Stained
Glass: Learn the basics in
building a
stained glass panel using the copper foil/solder method.
You make the choice in size, pattern, style and glass.
Up to 12 x12 inches: $75.00 plus materials.
Larger sized windows vary in cost, increasing the class fee to
an additional $40.00 per square foot.
Refresher Course: If it's been a
while since your last stained glass experience, come and see
us about a refresher course. We'll spark your memory and your
inspiration. We also offer studio time and tool rental. Ask us
for the details.
Leaded Window:
Using the same glass cutting methods as in the copper foil
technique, we will now put a window together using lead came.
Up to 12 x12 inches: $75.00 plus materials.
Larger sized windows vary in cost, increasing the class fee to
an additional $40.00 per square foot.
Glass
Box: Whether you
choose to cut your own glass using the Morton System or
add sparkle with bevels, we will show you how to employ the
copper foil method to make a beautiful box of any
size. $45 plus materials.
Kaleidoscope
Kit: This scope goes together
beautifully with your choice of glass and kaleidoscope kit.
You can choose a clear image disk to fill with broken glass
and/or beads, or create your own disc using stained
glass. $50 plus materials.
Lamp Shade: Learn how to build a four
to six panel glass lamp shade using a vase cap or spider. Or,
we can teach you to build a "Tiffany (rounded) style" lamp
shade. Once you see how this goes together, you will be making
more! $125 plus materials.
Picture
Frame: Create a 4x6
or 5x7 stained glass picture frame. We have many exciting
ideas for you!
$45 including materials..
Mosaic Classes
Mosaic
Stepping Stone: Make a beautiful stepping
stone to personalize your garden or walkway. We teach you how
to cut the glass, place it in a mold and then pour special
Diamondcrete concrete that sets up in an hour. This
makes a wonderful heirloom
gift! $45 plus
materials.
Mosaic
Table Top: Let's do the same for a table! You
will cut glass to fit a pattern and this time we'll glue
it to a wood top and then apply grout rather than concrete. A
true show-piece to be proud of! $45 plus materials.
Mosaic Park
Bench: How about a fabulous mosaic park
bench to enjoy a summer's evening! We have a great selection
of patterns for you to choose from or you can design your own.
You create the glass work, we do the concrete. Your final step
is to transport it home for your garden. This is a 4-day
project! $125 plus materials.
Glass Fusing Class
Glass
Fusing: Learn
a "hot" new twist for stained glass. This hands-on class will
teach you about the tools, the special glass and the kilns in
which you will do your own firing to create a beautiful
project. Fusing only
$75 plus materials.
Glass
Slumping:
The next session is to slump a circle of glass onto a mold to
make a small dish or plate. Again you will do your own
firing of the kiln to learn the basic techniques. Class
cost is $75.00 plus materials.
Glass Painting:
Learn to paint on glass with Maita. She
will teach the basics and then fire your plate for you. The
use of gold and colors will give you a lovely dishwasher safe
butter or dessert plate. $45.00, includes materials and
firing.
Kiln Firing:
Kiln rental fee is $10.00 per firing.
Beading Classes
Beginning
Beading: Learn the basics of making a
beautiful necklace, bracelet and earrings using glass beads, a
clasp or toggle and sturdy wire. $15.00 plus materials.
You can also make a beaded watch, beaded eyeglass holder or
anything of your choice!
We have a huge selection of
sterling silver and gold findings. Also - all glass
beads!
Torching Glass Beads
Beginning
Glass Bead Making: Learn the basics of
lampworking - firing up your torch and making glass beads.
We supply the tools, glass and instruction. You come
with great ideas. $45.00 plus materials.
